In the little town of Warr Acres, Oklahoma, Fred Tavanger has been serving his customers delicious, marinated, flame-broiled chicken since 1989. They start with whole chickens, seasoned in a special marinade of herbs, spices, and tangy citrus juices. When the time is right the chicken is placed on a grill allowing the flames to cook it slowly, sealing all the flavor and tenderness inside while turning the skin a crisp, golden brown. The result is not only a treat for the palate, it’s a nutritious treat for your body.
As expected many restaurants have tried to duplicate our chicken’s unique taste, but whether it’s baked, broasted, roasted, or broiled, in the end something is always compromised and the taste just seems to fall short. To get authentic, marinated, flame-broiled flavor like ours, it takes a good fire, the right ingredients and people who really know how to cook chicken.
